I honestly don't think I'm smart enough to put into words how great this film is, but it is easily my favourite Schrader film I have seen (yes, that includes Taxi Driver). If you give this film your full attention, the experience and feeling you get when the credits roll is so rewarding and gives me a feeling inside I've not got in a while from a film.

Reverend Toller is a complex character that needs a performance as good…

I’m a big fan of the juxtaposition between the two stories and how Bogdanovich potentially saw where our society was headed towards. Sure, horror movies can be scary, but it’s nothing compared to the real terror that’s shown here. The final act is quite unsettling, but needed to drive home the films themes.

Is this all thanks to violence in media, alienation, or something else? We don’t know, and that’s the terrifying part.

Catching a classic on the big screen is hard to beat. Showing someone a film you love, and they end up liking it too is also hard to beat. Put those two together and it’s an unbeatable experience.

Nothing to say that hasn’t already been said about this film. Hollywood doesn’t make them like this anymore!

I honestly can’t even put into words how good this is. It feels so rewarding having watched most of Kurosawa's previous work before this, which are all in B&W. Akira Kurosawa's 'Ran' to me is surreal at times because of its mesmerising imagery in full blown colour, and the thought-provoking dialogue. I was in complete awe for the entire runtime, with every minute feeling necessary. The characters are by far the…

The Banshees of Inisherin deserves all the hype, it really is that good. It’s masterful in all aspects and as much as I love In Bruges, this could easily go down as McDonaghs best film yet.

It boasts beautiful cinematography, with Inis Mor being shown for the beautiful island it is. The lonesome and melancholic culture of rural Ireland is portrayed so well and actually made me shed a tear at one point which I really didn’t expect. All the performances were excellent too, helping to elevate the films themes and atmosphere throughout the tragic and hilarious moments.
