  Castle in the Sky is a well-written, beautifully crafted masterpiece that holds up to this day even after all these years. The film, in my opinion, covers themes of human greed and how this greed can destroy beautiful things such as nature and ecosystems. These themings of destruction and greed still hold up to this day with how the world is going and how big corporations and governments destroy nature (with the Willow Project for example). All around, Laputa is a wonderful film that has deeper meanings for the audience to break down and observe.
