This might be the greatest movie I’ve ever seen. No rating system can adequately capture how I feel about this film. 5 stars? Maybe 5 stars gone supernova. Yes, this film was three hours long but I gladly would have watched 6 more hours of it. When people ask me what I want when I die my answer is going to be that I want my ashes spread over this film.
There’s a character in Lisa Frankenstein who we all knew in high school, he’s the kid who read poetry and all of the classical authors and he wants you know that he read all these things and wants you to know how smart he is. The film rightfully calls this character out, pointing out that he isn’t anywhere near as intelligent as he thinks he is, he just wants to appear that way.
