The Red Turtle 2016
The Red Turtle is a beautiful meditation on the cycle of life and man's relationship with nature. I can't believe many young children would have the required patience with it, and it does occasionally feel like it could be trimmed down to 60 rather than 80 minutes, but as a complete piece it really does work.

Style over substance, perhaps, but what style. A dizzying, thrilling ride with more than enough quiet spells stuffed with juicy dialogue. Wright's work is still not as satisfying as Tarantino at his best, but Baby Driver is his best film to date.
