I've thought long and hard about this movie in the days since I watched it. To be quite honest, I still don't get it and don't know if I ever will.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Does not hold up on rewatch at all, in my opinion. This film has built up a reputation of having secrets in the background, that you won't fully "get it" until you pick up more of those little details. Fight Club was the opposite for me, a rewatch shows just how many of the details don't quite line up and that it, in my opinion, doesn't get the supposed original purpose and message at all.
Well acted, shot, directed, etc. But this movie's status as a (cult) classic is borderline undeserved.

The Banshees of Inisherin 2022
A wonderfully tight and precise movie. Everything down to the smallest detail has something to say and says it with purpose. Martin McDonagh and his familiar cast knock it out of the park with a unique brand of humor sprinkled storytelling that they have mastered. Truly hits home for me as someone who grew up in a similarly pointless and dull yet strange and unique rural place.
