  Overall it didn’t work for me. I liked the soundtrack and the shiny, hyperreal world it took place in, but it just felt too hateful. I’m bored of old women’s bodies being used as horror props.

  Both the leads were ruthlessly punished, and their punishment played comedically to the audience I sat with. It made me feel complicit in a way that could have been really affecting had the film arrived at a more empathetic conclusion, but it favoured shock-value…
