Heart Eyes 2025
A surprisingly enjoyable Scream Holiday Special with an enemies to lovers trope I was actually able to appreciate. Holt is a great lead and Gooding compliments her so well. Was a bit disappointed with the HEK reveal but the movie made up for it in bearable gore and entertaining plot.

Little Miss Sunshine 2006
Little Miss Sunshine may be under appreciated by the average movie viewer (my mom) due to the film not having a breakthrough “every one wins in the end” plot. But I think that’s what makes the film so great. The juxtaposition of a dad whose 9 steps promote winning to the film ending on the destruction on beauty pageants just further drives the films story. Multi-layered film with dynamic characters that you begin to grow fond over throughout the film.

The Polar Express 2004
FIRST TIME seeing Polar Express… can you believe it? In a theater too, which I definitely believe enhanced the experience, especially since the theater gave us Santa hats and a bell that had “I believe” inscribed on it. But no matter how frivolous props the theater provided, the CGI is poor, especially in comparison to other CGI films of the time such as Finding Nemo and the Incredibles. Nevertheless a wholesome timeless Christmas film with a plot that in my opinion slightly irritates anyone sensible. Maybe I’m too critical.
