I genuinely miss movies like these, sucks that there seems to be a new cynicism towards them for some reason.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I practically enjoyed and was captivated by most of it. I just think Im going to always be upset at this upcoming generation of filmmakers who seem to believe that a deprived ending is more emphatic and revelating than a happy ending. Like even after everything we go through, we don't actually deserve it? Are happy endings just not inspiring anymore? Feels more depressing than accepting.

She 1984
I felt like rating this a lot lower for a while till about half way when they kept changing genres and sets so wildly and the really cool crazy bananas idea of just all these different cults representing so many different kinds of movies as well is really cool and creative. Just sucks they couldn't be afforded more with a better budget but the idea is so great I give respect to it and despite its flaws would be worth seeing again.

Vampires 1998
Possibly the best example of "aged badly" I can think of personally. Trying to put his out side of the industry BS aside, its very hard to look at James Woods as a badass action hero stud, let alone could I imagine people really saw him as one in 1998 either. On one hand it could be a dirty, messy horror action romp, but literally no one is fun or interesting and like every character is a total unlikeable asshole…
