After watching this erotic thriller, anyone trying to make it something more than it is, entering it into the catalogue of “eat the rich” films, are in a losing game. It’s saying you too want to be wealthy. If we’re eating the rich, it’s because they are delicious and decadent. We want what they have, and that makes us grotesque. But that’s where it stops, and the real purpose is to see Jacob elordi’s naked chest and Barry keoghan’s impeccable dancing in warm lighting on beautiful rugs next to well preserved antiques, under ceilings.
