Bicycle Thieves 1948
Few films manage to make you feel for its characters as effortlessly as Bicycle Thieves does. During its 90 minute runtime you can't help but go through the same emotions Ricci and his family go through while trying to find the stolen bicycle, in a post World War 2 Italy where jobs are scarce and with unemployment at an all time high. The perfect character study of the italian lower class of that era and one of the best (if not the best) Italian neorealist films.
