so insanely moving and sincere and wonderful. an incredible performance from colman domingo, but also every other actor involved. i knew divine eye was playing himself, but i was genuinely amazed by how many others were also playing themselves. such a beautiful and human story, i really wish it had had a wider release. incredible stuff.

The Devil All the Time 2020
i liked it!! i remember people really hating this when it came out which i can only imagine stemmed from misplaced expectations. it’s a grim story for sure but never to the point of devastation and it never feels too self indulgent with it. some really great performances throughout, and having just watched mickey 17 a few days ago and the impossible this morning, i really want to see more pattinson and holland on the screen soon.

i liked it!! fourth bong joon ho film i’ve seen and the first i’ve actually enjoyed 🙈. probably not as good of a movie as parasite or memories of murder but it’s a lot of fun and has a lot of heart and it’s the first time i’ve actually connected with one of his films in any meaningful way. also some really fun line reads from ruffalo. and toni collette! yay!
