I think I just watched one of the greatest movies of all time.

Much like László Tóth's work and influence on architecture in the universe of the film, The Brutalist is a brutalist megastructure in of itself, and this was all-but reaffirmed to me in the Q&A when Brady echoed the same sentiment. In trying to convey brutalism through a visual medium without explicitly showcasing the architecture, the soundtrack and cinematography really impose the hollow, haunting, weighty feeling of brutalism…

Writing like this deserves a Lifetime Achievement award.

I genuinely cannot even begin to fathom having the ability to write something as good as this.

This is such shitty, trashy horror, and it's so good. I don't really know what to call this genre of horror, but it's the wave of movies that came post-Paranormal Activity and really tried to capitalize on the found-footage genre, that's the clear vibe it gives. I was expecting way scarier, so I kinda pysched myself into being more scared than I needed to be some times

Dude, I fucking love these movies. If The Platform 1 was about exploring the mysteries of the Pit, then The Platform 2 is about exploring the cultures and sub-societies of the Pit. I don't know, this really scratched the same itch I got reading A Short Stay in Hell by Steven Peck. I was also completely caught off guard by the fact that this is entirely a prequel to the first movie.

It's really fascinating how this movie manages to, probably unintentionally, blend dread and comedy together, and then the entire movie proceeds to transition into a philosophical debate with itself.

I was so crossfaded while I watched this.
