  "ours was an unconventional family living in a very conventional society."

  i know it's not without its flaws, but it explores a lot of injustices and complexities i've seen in life myself. it's a really beautiful story about three women and the intersection of the choices they've made and continue to make, and examines the cyclical nature of hate, blame, regret, and love.
