Calibre delivers strong suspense through excellent cinematography and a slow, unpredictable build-up that keeps you guessing. However, it felt odd that the town’s community was so close-knit, with the gun register knowing how many hunters are around at all times, yet two townspeople still thought it was safe to wander the woods around hunting time. Despite this, the film stands out for its exploration of a complex moral dilemma—watching the two main characters navigate an impossible situation had me constantly wondering what I would do.

I gave this a high rating for wild ride of an ending. It really puts you in the characters’ shoes, felt like I was going crazy too, which added to the tension. The ending reminded me of Blair Witch 2016.
