  On a serious note. very important to see a strong black female lead that is regarded as not just beautiful and desirable but also unequivocally worthy of love!!! i really liked that :)

  but this was very fun! a lot of people will be disappointed because they’re expecting parasite. nikki recommends memories of a murder if you want bong joonho parasite. this film is an adaptation of a sci fi novel, and if you treat it like one, you’ll have a good time. it’s not like the sociopolitical commentary is lost anyway it’s just wrapped up in a more fun bow!

  gross? yeah. gratuitous? definitely! 

  but guys. I don’t know if i am just advanced screenwriting pilled but the structure of this film just scratched my brain SO GOOD… rarely ever do i think a 2+ hour film is paced well, but even watching this sitting in my room with my computer and laptop within reach, i couldn’t pull my attention away. everything happened just when it was supposed to, and it escalated at every turn in the perfect way. Wow….…
