I think it's more than a little symbolic that this film starts with the smashing of a static television. With an uninterrupted 135 minute runtime, Lynch is finally able to answer the question of "who killed Laura Palmer?" truthfully, destroying our misguided perception of her character through an uncensored exposure of the pure horror of her experiences.

In a way, I somewhat understand why this was initially hated upon its release; Fire Walk With Me is a far cry from…

"I'm tired... I'm so fucking tired. I thought I just needed a night's sleep, but it's more than that."

Inside Llewyn Davis wondered into my life at the perfect time. I've never watched anything that speaks to me so clearly. I'm not sure how to properly describe my connection with this film yet, but I feel a strange reassurance in the cold, damp, depressing nature of it all. In an odd sense, it's almost uplifting. This will stay with me for a long time.

"all right, all right, all right..."

Probably the coolest hangout movie ever. What Linklater is able to do with all these characters in such a short runtime is really impressive. Will be thinking about this movie and its outfits allot.

Tarantino's best. It's so good, I wouldn't even mind if he decided to just call it a day and make this his final feature film.

This film is extremely unoriginal; I felt like I'd watched every scene already in another movie.

The "Past Lives" concept is essentially just an excuse to make a film about a "what if?" scenario- something that has been done a million times before. In a way, I don't blame Celine Song for choosing this theme because it's worked perfectly plenty times before (La La Land, Titanic etc.), but somehow she has managed to make a romance movie unromantic.

    TÁR

    ★★★★½

Outstanding. Blanchett never misses a beat; her performance as Lydia Tár is in a league of its own. She commands the screen with the sort of conviction only a true thespian titan could muster up and in a way that is essential for the film's intricate exploration of her character. Tár will be remembered as a film that relies very heavily on the power of its central performance, but more importantly, as a film that knows how to use this…
