  The last time I saw this I was a small, night-terror prone child watching Spanish-dubbed horror movies on Telemundo/Telefutura. I hadn’t realized how much public housing and racial segregation were involved in the story. Chicago’s landscape  has changed so much via gentrification, yet it feels like nothing’s changed at all as far as segregation and socio-economic disparities are concerned. Helen’s condo is basically what part of Cabrini-Green looks like today.

  Can’t wait to see what DaCosta/Peele/Rosenfeld do with their upcoming sequel!
