Nothing could have actually prepared me for this wave of laughter and hysteria and horror. It was campy without trying and broke the rules of the introverted bookworm protagonist breaking out of their shell. Lisa is unapologetically weird, whimsical, and freaky. She doesn’t shy away from her love of the macrabe. From falling in love with the dreams of death to falling in love with the dead, she’s getting herself the love she’s always told herself she deserves. I absolutely loved this young adult love story.
