Feels a bit unmoored at times, trying to tap into a Kelly Reichardt profundity but feeling instead directionless. There is also a lot to love, particularly Lacey, who I felt a deep compassion for. Her resolve in the last scene is heartbreaking, contemplating all these unstable futures that could stem from this night and steeling herself away from connection because she doesn't have a healthy model of it to emulate. Or at least that's how I read it!!
