Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2022
I give it a generous 2 stars because some of the gore was decent and the character I hated the most received a satisfying conclusion to their story. I couldn’t figure out what this was supposed to be a sequel to. Which branch of the Texas multiverse does this belong to? At what point did our face wearing friend end up in an orphanage? If it was after the events of the original movie I need some more explaining.

If you’ve ever wanted to see a priest get baptized by a demon, where the demon pisses all over the priest, this is the movie for you. Without googling it, I feel like they reused the monster from Big Trouble in Little China for the titular demon in this film. Every time they showed the monster’s head it reminded me of that beast that stows away under Burtons truck at the end of the John Carpenter masterpiece.

I was expecting this to be terrible, but to my surprise I enjoyed it. It’ll never replace the original as a go to for Christmas movies, but it had plenty of actors I knew and the jokes made me laugh.
