Similar feeling to my first watch through. Beautifully simple film whilst also being so eccentric at the same time.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2014
Now I wouldn’t really consider myself a massive Marvel fan. I’ve watched a few recently and enjoyed them all but there are plenty which I’ve just not really liked at all. With that said I love this film.
Something I always find frustrating about superhero films is the structure of good vs bad with a thick line in between, and a super serious (even though it’s not realistic) portrayal that EVERY single one of them seems to have.

Just didn’t really hit for me. I know that the main selling point of this film is the reversed chronological order but for me it just doesn’t quite do enough. I felt like the build up was awaiting an ending that would really twist the head and it just didn’t happen. I saw it personally as being a pretty simple film that relied heavily on the fact it was unique in how the plot unfolded in reverse.
