  I was expecting an action-comedy film with the occasional dramatic scene and I wasn't disappointed. The cast is solid—Kim Woobin infuses so much charisma and determination in Jungdo that it's infectious—and carry a story that zig-zags between humor, drama, and action without a missing a beat.

  As much fun as I had with the film, however, I think it would been an awesome mini-series. Matter of fact, seeing as they share a writer/director and a similar vibe, my headcanon is that Officer Black Belt and Bloodhounds exist in the same world.

  Is Frankly Speaking funny? Yes, but, man, it shines through its touching, wholesome, and endearing character dynamics. The romance works, the humor works, and the slice of life definitely works. This is definitely a comfort drama now.
