This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The background in horror that Peter Jackson has is perfectly used in this movie, the uruk hai, the orcs, both demonic Galadriel and Bilbo, it really sells the threath for the rest of the trilogy to unfold. Obviusly the music does a fantastic job in absolutely every second of the movie, the performances are a fucking 10/10 and making the first out of three the one with more important "deaths" gets you hooked from the beginning.
The soundtrack is insane, having a Tool track as Snake gets deeper into LA is something i didn't expect at all. I can't believed Carpenter made a parody that hits that close to home more than 20 years later, this dude was bold enough to make the best representations of the soul of USA and put Kurt Russel on a surf board chasing after Steve Buscemi on a car ¿¿¿??? If that's not cinema, then i don't know what it is
I missed Bruce Campbell's slapstick on the beginning, the emotional parts felt kinda flat and it could use a little bit more of the bizarre scenes like the defibrillator handcraft scene. The staging of the final scene, the colors, the lighting work, the image of Mia knocking on the door to enter the cabin, instead of wanting to escape, after literally starting from scratch, the ending is very well done.
