A beautiful movie full of childlike wonder, grief, and lil squishy guys. What’s not to love? Don’t even get me started on that soundtrack! Or those visuals! Near-infinite rewatchability. This is my go-to comfort movie for a reason.
This one hits a little bit too close to home. Made me cry so much 😓😓
For the first bit of this movie I genuinely thought that this movie was going to examine the differences between the ethics of motives (deontological ethics) vs the ethics of consequences (utilitarian ethics). If Anakin saves Padme from death for selfish reasons, is it a morally good act? Unfortunately, subtle discussions of ethics go out the window when innocent children are murdered. I think Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader is too quick and lacks nuance.
