  They couldve done the supernatural/ paranormal reality of the appalachians so much better instead of turning it into a cult thing. I really wanted to see some found film type of thing. The wood setting wasnt even creepy. It lowk read as a demonisation of self-sustaining communities tbh ? Not interesting or special, friends lost in the woods/ quiet town trope is overdone!. Gore was done decently. The "dark" punishment was unnerving and done really well. The rednecks saving them was wholesome.

  This was ass tbh. Points for cinematography and music. Nothing new here, just classic poor people are desperate, blasphemous and will ruin nice things trope (its funny cos he wasnt even poor?) Shock value sucks, yeah it wasnt boring but it wasnt anything special

  Amazing acting and casting. Interesting motif of the colour of clothes representing talent/drive. Really great representation of a fucked up dynamic and its dangers. Ending was really dark

  Great film, very realistic in some ways yet the ending was anticlimactic, wasnt as emotional as was made out to be. worth the watch for a sad movie
