One of the forgotten pieces of lore from the Christopher Reeve era. It's certainly not as cataclysmically awful as I was expecting heading into it, but there's a reason you don't see everyone clamoring to call this high art. What it lacks in quality, though, it makes up in charm. Seriously.

Not as bad as it’s made out to be, but not nearly as smart or ingenious as the original films. In fact, its lack of thematic messaging and absolutely nonsensical ending is practically insulting to the spirit of the originals. Still, I really liked the set design and makeup, and Paul Giamatti’s performance was really reminiscent to me of Jim Carrey’s portrayal of The Grinch. Maybe some restructuring and character changes would have saved this one!
