Had me locked in for the first half. Lost me the second. I really enjoyed the analogy of monopoly and religion being mere iterations of their predecessor.
The performances were great.
First half felt like 8 or 9 out of 10. Second half just didn't do it for me. Idk maybe i dont get it. Maybe i dont need to.
Edit: Came back to mention Sophie Thatcher the fuckin truth in this film. She was not on some pussy shit.…
A tale of 3 friends who simply need a break from their day to day and catch a glimpse of what it means to actually live. Nothing but good company, open roads, and adventure. I resonate with this deeply from my experience of taking roadtrip across America. On the other side of being uncomfortable, challenging your fears, and letting go of everything you think that matters is where you will find the magical feeling of what being alive means. Beautiful light hearted film.
The title of this film directly translates to “You will not get this life again”
Carpe Diem.
I really enjoyed this movie for several reasons. The concept, the soundtrack, the absurdity, chaos, and the themes it explores that are very relevant to society.
I constantly found myself at the edge of my seat wondering what was about to happen.
If you think you have any idea as to where this movie is going or how it will end you are deeply mistaken. I appreciated the ending. The ending reminds you that this a film and anything goes.…
Just didn’t do it for me. I appreciated the poetic parallel between Colm and Padraic’s relationship and the country’s civil war—how each side’s inability to see beyond themselves leads to the destruction of both. Cinematically pleasant. Just didn't move me or leave me thinking as much i had hoped to before seeing the film. Dominic was truly the most interesting character.
Not great. Not terrible.
