really breathtaking and imaginative visuals, everything felt huge and immersive like when they’re going thru the wormhole / diff planets. the way they portrayed being in space felt soo realistic and natural like when cooper is going thru the black hole and godd the planets landscapes felt simple yet very uncanny at the same time
music was crazy but already knew that going into it, like damn the entire scene in millers planet and the docking scene was completely elevated…
first of all lovedd the cinematography and art direction of this film, the way the camera work and palate add to the wispy and youth like nature of the film is lovely. every shot in this film is intentioned and there isn’t a single shot that is wasted, godd some amazing shots like yuichi staring at the screen in the final act and the multiple shots of hoshino tsuda n yoichi in the rice fields laced throughout the film.

fun movie but cut out all the earth sequences and it becomes 5/5. matt damon caries this film when the earth ppl feel rigid and robotic n the hermes crew have like 2 emotions in total either anxious or laughing at all times. like why am i supposed to care about sebastian stan n the other girls relationship at the end of the movie when literally nothing alluded to it until then. u could’ve developed them all by cutting out…
