Definitely has it's moments and holds up better than I thought. Not a masterpiece, but probably the best / closest thing we'll get to a good Disney-Marvel era superhero parody film.

Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie 2024
Now, there are a few good jokes throughout, some jokes I could see working better in the original art style, but most of it is just awful. All of the songs suck, the live action parts suck, and the songs in live action are grating. They tried to throw a couple bones to the seasons 1-3 crowd in the beginning, but most of that was done poorly, and they stopped trying after the first act.

I love Lady Gaga, and I enjoyed the song selection, but I laughed out loud at a lot of the sets. Her being trapped in a weird immovable plastic upright coffin for most of poker face while trying to pump up the crowd is legit one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Beau Is Afraid 2023
Oh boy. I really liked this movie, but I don't know who to recommend it to. The first act of the movie is absolutely perfect, and Joaquin Phoenix is so damn good throughout. Beau's anxiety is shown to be terrifying, tangible, and ever present, and it's hilarious. It's so so over the top, and I think Ari Aster nailed it with the term "Nightmare Comedy."
