This was a total staple of afternoons on HBO in the late 80s. I haven’t seen it in decades but caught it on TV and still enjoyed it. It’s a pretty taut thriller, especially in the last act.

Alien: Romulus 2024
The third best ALIEN movie easily. Suspenseful, scary, gory, and great performances from the two leads. It didn’t need all the callbacks to the originals (or even the inclusion of THAT character), and the last 20 minutes reminded me of Alien Resurrection a bit (not in a good way), but Alvarez knows how to create tension. And it’s FUN
