I love tennis. I love queer romance. Combine those two together and of course I'm going to devour it. The tennis part of it was fantastic. The romance was fantastic. I would have watched all the way through regardless of the plot, but that was brilliant as well. This is the absolute pinnacle of animated films. Incredible cast, great voice-acting, brilliant characters and a fantastic story that's entertaining for people of all ages. I love this film to pieces. It was such a big part of my childhood and has still stayed enjoyable through to adulthood.
Started watching because it had Frances McDormand in it. Stayed for the incredible movie.
I have no idea how a film can be absolutely soul-crushingly sad in some parts, hysterically funny in other parts, and absolutely nail both of them, but this film did that.
