Nice to rewatch this, especially with Laura after our time in Tokyo. So wonderful to re-live (from a far) the vibrant Japanese culture. Onsen, Highball, Vending Machines, Shrines, Tokyo Tower, Ramen, Sumo, Baseball, Analog Music and Totos! Love how well this film illustrates beauty in simplicity. An observation of little rituals that compound into a meaningful life (both waking and dreaming.)

I literally laugh at every Ralph Fiennes line in the film, this is the best performance of his career! I feel like this was the last great Wes Anderson film and the end of an absolutely epic run.
