i don’t watch movies anymore.
i only really log first-time watches these days (and sometimes forget to do that).
When that first Björk-sounding song started playing while the internet messages were being typed, I thought, “This bout to be the best movie I’ve ever seen in my life.” It didn’t quite end up going that way, but there was still a lot of stuff that was very “My Vibe”. Different parts reminded me of late nineties anime (and some of my all-time favourite anime) i.e. Neon Genesis Evangelion, Serial Experiments Lain, Perfect Blue. I think I’d be a big fan of Lily Chou-Chou.
The drip in this is crazyyyy. Bout to start dressing like Autumn Moon. Movie goes hard too.
Hated the first half and every character in it. Came around to it a bit in the second half. Still didn’t get a whole lot out of it in the end. The amount of laughter from the audience?!!?!
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not a big fan of filmmakers making movies about their own life/upbringing. I’m sure it’s cool for them, but does it really resonate with other people? I didn’t love Cuaron’s ROMA, but I think it had…
This is FUCKING badddd. Because I’m a huge BRUCE “fan” and because I can’t give it a lower rating and have it count towards the overall average, it gets half a star (Amanda Peet’s tits are pretty good too but probably a bit unnecessary). JOHN COFFEY pops up with a gold earring. Is there a single funny moment in this?
