  I’m a true James Dean fan. James Franco’s incredible performance was wasted on a TV movie, he was made for this role. Still, its pretty great for what it is.

  I can’t BELIEVE I am about to say this… but I enjoyed this movie even more than the book.

  I’m usually militantly opposed to movies based on books (R.I.P. The Count of Monte Cristo). Maybe the difference is that I wouldn’t consider the book a masterpiece on its own. 

  Other than some nice details and context, the movie had everything in the book and more. Splendid, believable acting. Interestingly, Ronan herself is the child of Irish parents who immigrated to NYC. 

  This is my new sick-day feel good movie that I will probably re-watch dozens of times.
