Fletch is for anyone in that middle ground between hungover and lunch when something like The Long Goodbye means risking falling asleep. It’s perfect predictable funny background noise. Something to temper the echoes of last night. And more than that it’s a nice unimposing nostalgia kick. With movies like these, who even needs to call their dad?
This felt like one of those movies I’d watch on a whim as a child and dislike and then I’d get told by an adult that I’ll enjoy it when I’m older. Except I am older. I’m the adult. And it was boring.
