Going on a little tour of Liam Aiken’s filmography with my friend Val. I’m glad she’s joining me as I revisit all these former child actors who are continuing to hone their craft as adults, and now it’s Liam’s turn. This film, however, was not a grand display of his skills and potential. In fact, he was more of a secondary character with some monologues here and there. Munchausen 2013
Starting my Liam Aiken cinematic adventure with Val, and this Ari Aster short is a great place to begin - I grew up with Liam’s work as a kid and loved him in Stepmom, Road to Perdition, A Series of Unfortunate Events and other movies but this is my first time watching him as an adult.

Anora 2024
Did a second viewing of ANORA before the Oscars watch party, and I just knew my girl Mikey Madison would win Best Actress. She’s the one. Absolutely stunning piece of cinema. The ending was still as heartbreaking as the first time. Anora is all of us ladies who deserve what we desire in life and yet she deserves way more at the end of the film. Congratulations Mikey and Sean Baker who crafted such a compelling film. ✨💙

Novocaine 2025
Jack Quaid is such a charming leading man, and I absolutely enjoyed going to the cinema for Companion and now Novocaine, where he finally got to play the unlikely hero. 2025 is such a big year for him, and deservedly so.
What’s fascinating about this film is we get to see two of the best nepo babies giving incredibly solid performances. Kudos to Jack Quaid and Ray Nicholson for nailing their roles. ✨
