  i felt that all the way through

  what a powerful thing to rewatch a movie with all the known context and still have it hit as deeply (if not more). as the film progressed I had a sinking feeling in my stomach that grew ever stronger during the final 10 minutes knowing what was gonna enfold in that final scene and wow it still packed a huge punch.

  so glad it got its flowers at the oscars, truly well deserved

  where the hell did that glow up come from

  yes, the animation is as great as people say it is. no, i didn’t think the story and emotional resonance was as good as people say it is. yes, still a good watch.

  BRING BACK THE INTERMISSION IN MOVIES

  the movie is as proficient in the technical aspects of creating art as its main character. the cinematography was absolutely beautiful, and the score was phenomenal. i also thought the acting performances were really well done, especially between the two main male leads. my favorite part had to be that opening scene, definition of a chef’s kiss in film

  however, in the same way i don’t typically enjoy brutalist architecture, i didn’t fully agree…

  this movie’s gonna be pop-u-u-lar

  i knew coming into the movie that i’d give it at least 4 stars so the extra half star has to mean something right
