It made the smart decision to rework a lot of the dated elements of the original, but even then, it's still riddled with CGI abominations and forgettable new songs and gives Rachel Zegler nothing to shine with.

Guns Akimbo 2019
This style of hyper-edited technology dystopia about a dangerous app that people are obsessed with has been done before, and it was pretty annoying then too. I found most parts of this irritating, though it did get a few laughs.
The best thing to come out of this movie is that set photo of Daniel Radcliffe.

The Wild Robot 2024
DreamWorks just can't make a perfect movie, huh? The Wild Robot has absolutely stunning visuals and some amazing emotional moments, but it also has about 20 minutes right in the middle where it becomes the most basic, predictable kids movie. Training montage with song overlaid, main characters fight and get separated, the typical story beats.
A lot of this movie was perfect, but sadly not all of it. One of the most egregious title drops in recent memory.
