    Don’t know why I didn’t drop a review for this when I first watched it. The Flash is a movie I’ve seen twice now and I can say pretty definitively for myself that this is DC taking a step in the right direction with their storytelling. They took a character who was by far the weakest emotionally in the Justice League and actually gave him a personality, and a compelling dynamic to use as a springboard for becoming extremely likable. And Michael Keaton as Batman is THE BEST. Loved seeing him and Ben Affleck again. Fun movie. What superhero movies need to be like.

Gareth Edwards took what is effectively a mid-budget action movie and turned it into what appears like a 300 million dollar blockbuster directed by Steven Spielberg in his prime. The story was rich, interesting, and borrowed from previous movies in a way that was tasteful, paying homage rather than stealing ideas.
