  Okay. It’s worth the praise. Those performances alone. Mint. Fire. On fleek. Steezy. Give that DOP a raise. Give that kid a BAFTA. Men need to look at themselves.

  Only reason it’s 4.5 stars is the one take thing does become a gimmick in some scenes where I don’t think the camera movement is entirely motivated but who cares it’s nearly flawless filmmaking. I bow down to this cast and craw 🦀

  Please Bong Joon-Ho do not make another English language film. That Donald Trump impression and just about every single thing about this movie infuriated me.  I have never cringed so hard in a movie before. The voice over, the horrible performances, the caricature, a movie that thought it was far more intelligent than it actually was in nearly every-way. Undercooked plot and character motivations, plot holes left right and centre. Oh so you invented a device that reproduces somebody’s personality…

  Nosferbore-tu.

  I have never enjoyed a movie less. I desperately wish I spent my cash on something more worthwhile like a stack of Pokemon cards.

  I can appreciate though that the film looked beautiful even though 3/4 of it was hard to see and almost impossible to hear. Might be time to get my ears and eyes checked.
