What if Art the Clown is lowkey an inspired character from The Nightmare Before Christmas? You have a main character who starts in Halloween season, then slowly transitions into Christmas, realizing he is tired.
I was hoping the movie would finally give a clear story of Art’s origins, but is simply a rehash of terrifier 2 in a different season.
The Holdovers is just perfect. A beautiful movie as sharing a cup of chocolate with a close friend or family member reflecting on the good and the bad next to a fire in a cold winter. The quality of the dialogue and the chemistry between the characters unfolds organically and effortlessly.
A beautiful story that comes full circle. Gracie’s character is so wholesome, she goes through so many hardships overcoming them in a bumpy road that keeps you rooting for her until the very end.
