Didn't hate it but really didn't stick the landing at all. And then that kind of made everything preceding the end feel not worth it. There was a lot of heart and I always appreciate a good double generational father son story, but they just dumbed it down too much and missed huge swathes of potential that they themselves BUILT!

Croupier 1998
I often get pleasure from the dry intelligentysterious protagonist and Croupier was no different. Fun quick movie with lots of charm from Clive but didn't really give anything overtly special. Maybe some of that is it's age and seeing so many other films share similarities, but I just couldn't find myself caring beyond just enjoying the movie. Still worth a watch if you enjoy casinos from a statistical POV and think way too highly of yourself.
