How this shit cost over 300 million is mind boggling to say the least. It looks very generic, over used nostalgia drops just ruined the whole experience. For such an elite cast it just fell flat.
However it’s far from the worst thing I’ve seen, I loved woody Harrelson as mr peanut probably the only positive I can say about this film. But I think the Russo’s should stick to marvel movies!

This was so much better than the first film in every way, the actual possession was so fucking creepy and genuinely I was jump scared so many times. I genuinely did not know what was real and what wasn’t real and it worked so effectively!
Naomi Scott take a bow as her performance was incredible and her character was amazing and the fact that no one wins in this is genuinely scary but insane!!

Watching this again I really enjoyed it more than I did the first time. The gore was great and the practical effects of the possessed looked amazing.
It brought something fresh to the genre and even though I haven’t watched the 2013 remake the story was great and I loved the secluded setting of the apartment building as it contains the thrill of the film and builds up the tension really well. The characters were really well developed and had great emotional depth to them.
Overall for a gory horror film it was well done and satisfied my love for the genre.
