  Dylan’s electric turn just like his subsequent public conversion to Evangelical Christianity was a provocation, shaking fans out of their complacency and rewarding the curious with ever evolving music which has stood the test of time. Dylan has always resisted crowd-pleasing safe approaches, if he plays the hits live he tends towards barely recognisable  arrangements.
