Felt more in line with Bong Joon-ho’s English language films than his Korean language films, so I didn’t dig it quite as much but still enjoyed overall and it has several of his trademarks. Felt a bit like 2 movies in one that didn’t totally fit, and the ending felt a bit too tidy for my liking. But Pattinson is great and I liked the wonderfully weird tone of it all.

Stylistically this was very much a throwback to Winter Soldier, which I think was a better direction to go in than most post-Endgame movies, but it still didn’t quite stick the landing. The climactic action scene in particular looked terrible.

Scenes shot uncomfortably tight on the characters to try to conceal how sparse and cheap the sets are. Such brilliant lines of dialogue as “stairs…I…

I saw this as an AMC surprise screening never having seen any trailers for or even having heard of this film. Based on no expectations I thought this was a decent enough thriller. All four main actors felt like they were in different films (but I quite enjoyed Fishburne) and the ending didn’t exactly stick the landing for me, but it held my attention and had an interesting close-quarters atmosphere.
