  Despite Bong’s insistence that he got the rights to final cut for this movie, it really does feel like this was the result of some serious studio meddling. I liked the first act and then everything that follows commits to none of the narrative threads it pulls at. Did very little for me besides look nice.

  Heart of a Dog 2015

  I had to put my dog Winston down yesterday. He was pretty much my best friend since I was eleven and I’m gonna miss him until the day I die. What else can you say about a dog you’ve known for more than half the time you’ve been alive? But all the same, thirteen years is a pretty good life for a dog, and I’m grateful that I got to love him for that long. I’m thankful he was healthy…

  Raiders of the Lost Ark 1981

  This movie is one of the cornerstones of my childhood, and watching it drunk as shit on New Year’s Eve reminds me of how magical movies can be. I’m sure that’s probably sentimental in all the wrong ways but I really love this movie. 

  As an adult I realize now how well-edited and paced this movie is, and while Crusade is my favorite Indy movie, this movie will always have a special place in my heart.
