I have five people that I follow on Letterboxd who have viewed and rated this movie but have yet to leave their thoughts.
I get it. What the fuck did I just watch? There’s a lot going on here. And if I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think I picked everything up.
But I do know when I’ve watched something special because I got lost in this world, and I can’t wait to reenter it.
But goddamn, do I want to ride that bike.
Pretty solid, not a whole lot of risks being made, feels incredibly corporate.
But it’s still Star Wars!
15 year old me would’ve given this 5 stars, but this was honestly quite the let down after watching revenge of the sith. Just feels a little bit removed from the George Lucas films.
Single-handedly the greatest animated film in western cinema. Exodus is one of the oldest and in my opinion the most epic story ever told; hence there is a lot at stake to make this movie work. From the animated style, to the epic scores, and stacked cast, this makes for an under appreciated classic. Lick my balls Mickey Mouse.
