I really enjoyed some parts but overall I think the pacing was not very good, some parts being far too dragged out or repeated too many times (musical sequences) which reduced its impact. The cinematography was stunning though especially during the musical sequences. I think the “point” of the movie was really interesting and how it dealt with the idolisation of Joker. Key themes and messages are very interesting about class structure etc, HOWEVER there’s something about the film that felt slightly off for me. Maybe too high expectations? I’m not sure
I was going to give it 3.5 stars, but that felt too harsh tbh, plot was pretty cool and I enjoyed the metaphors and symbolism all the way through.
Good watch nonetheless with an interesting ending
Such a moving and emotional coming of age tale exploring the importance of freedom and passion , it really shows the difference in the general mentality towards youth/careers etc in comparison to todays age.
