  Alright, officially investing in some property on Harris Dickinson Island.

  Struggles the most when it comes to developing conflict and the conclusion is too neat, but it’s just fun watching two excellent actors be allowed to cook this much.

  Ends up a tad undercooked because it tries to be so many things and is a bit awkward in its construction but it is incredibly entertaining. 

  Rare to see an auteur’s messy big budget swing for the fences be so fun, far too often results in slop like Megalopolis.

  Glenn Howerton’s hair is truly Golden God-esque here and his scene-chewing is glorious. Give all the Oscars to the hair and makeup people. This is not a nostalgic celebration of IP or yet another self-aggrandizing entry in the “rich people, amirite” canon, it’s something weirder and I really dig it.
