Chaos: The Manson Murders 2025
You can just indulge in some phone time for the first hour or so, which is more or less a beat for beat retelling of the Charles Manson story that we know all too well at this point. Man, is everything that follows ever fascinating, though.
Then again, doesn’t seem like anyone who’s read the book this is — apparently, loosely — based on is quite as enthralled. Which is to say, maybe my takeaway here should just be to read “Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties” whenever I get a chance.

Dunkirk 2017
This movie should land with me. I mean, it’s a Christopher Nolan production that taps into all of his strengths while leaving his most glaring weakness at the bottom of the cutting room floor for most of its brisk one-hour, forty-minute runtime.

Last Breath 2025
There’s a solid 45 minutes of absolutely gut-wrenching, intense action in here, bookended on both sides by some of the most annoyingly cloying shit I’ve ever been subjected to in my entire life. Frankly, I wished I was lost for good at the bottom of the North Sea at times. Still, on the balance, a good time at The Movies.
